Dr. Heather Becker
Dr. Becker graduated with a B.S. in Veterinary Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her D.V.M. from Kansas State University. After an internship in Akron, OH, she followed her dream to live and work in Colorado. Outside of work she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her dogs Mercy and Calvin; and making her own home-brew beer, "Bad Calvin Beer", whose label gets its namesake from her naughty heeler. Dr. Becker is also involved with the local and state veterinary disaster response teams. She also owns a small business that provides small animal first aid and CPR training to Emergency Responders.
Dr. Catherine Chaffin
Dr. Chaffin received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Arkansas and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. She worked as a zoo keeper prior to attending veterinary school and still has a strong interest in exotics. She enjoys hiking, running and traveling. She has a heart for community service and has been on several international mission trips through Christian Veterinary Mission. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, Jim, her dog, Roux, her two cats, Dobby and Tarro, and her western hognose, Pig.
Dr. Katelyn Schermerhorn
Dr. Schermerhorn received her Bachelors degree in Microbiology from Michigan State University in 2012 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2016. Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are diagnostic imaging and endocrine diseases. She recently moved to the state of Colorado and absolutely loves the great outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cycling, running, skiing, and triathlons. She has a black lab mixed breed dog, named Luckie and a black cat, named Luna.
