Dr. Jessica McKenney
Dr. McKenney graduated from Iowa State Veterinary College in 2002. She has settled in Colorado Springs after having worked several years in Washington State. She is our ultrasound expert. She enjoys hiking in our beautiful mountains with her children Sean and Olivia, husband Todd, and her two dogs Austin and Avery.
Dr. Lindsey Moore
Dr. Moore graduated from Washington State University in 2008. She moved to Colorado in May after working in Montana and North Dakota. She enjoys spending Time outdoors with her two children Adilyn and Vivianne, Husband Brian and her animals. She is very excited to settle in Colorado Springs and at High Plains Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Heather Matz
Dr. Matz moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 following graduation from Washington State University. After practicing emergency medicine locally, she joined the High Plains Veterinary team in February 2013. She enjoys triathlons, volunteering internationally, and hiking with her two dogs, great dane and german shepard mixes.
Dr. Emily Teepe
Dr. Emily Teepe graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in May and is excited to join the High Plains Veterinary team. She grew up on a small farm with a menagerie of animals. She enjoys all aspects of the outdoors including hiking, tennis, horseback riding, and traveling. She is thrilled to call Colorado Springs her new home and looks forward to meeting you and your pet!
Katie Phillips graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Colorado Springs ever since. She has a special interest in treating avian and exotic pets and many years of doing so. Dr. Katie has enjoyed the companionship of Golden Retrievers since the age of 16 and currently volunteers with Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue. She lives with two senior goldens, Samson and Liberty. She also has a rescued male Eclectus Parrot names Hawkeye. On her days off she enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughters, Natalie and Olivia as well as her husband.
Dr. Anne Finke
Dr. Anne Finke graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Tulane University in 2004, and then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2011. Dr. Finke moved to Colorado after graduation with her husband Mark, who is also a veterinarian. She begin working with High Plains in August of 2015. Dr. Finke has enjoyed focusing on dermatology, internal medicine, and preventative care. In her spare time, Dr. Finke enjoys cooking, reading, and being outdoors with Mark, their yellow lab Jake, and their daughter Caroline.
